We hope to raise enough to accomplish two BIG projects.
1. Science centers at Santa Clara Elementary
2. Shared science lab for Santa Clara and Cardenal high schools
Building a center in each classroom and stocking it with science materials will give students the opportunity for hands-on learning. Currently students spend the majority of their science class time using text books. Our teachers work tirelessly to light the spark of curiosity for natural sciences in these young students. By donating toward science education resources, you can improve the quality of education for over 450 students!
Our two high schools are situated on one campus so they can make the most of sharing various resources, including a science lab. Today, the room dedicated to this purpose is practically empty. We must start from the beginning by building out the space with tables, chairs, and cabinets. Then we will fill those cabinets with materials so our students can apply what they learn in their text books for chemistry, biology, and physics. More than 350 students can benefit from stocking the lab!
How far will your donation go?
$15 can purchase 10 thermometers
$35 provides 15 graduated cylinders
$100 can build one cabinet in the lab
$ 250 will create an elementary science center
