Welcome, Fall 2019 Volunteers
This fall at Olancho Aid, we are joined by two new long-term volunteers, in addition to returning volunteers Daniel Da Costa, Stephanie Fore, and Karen Wiley. Please join us in welcoming Fernando Gonzalez and Mai Tran; keep reading to learn more about them!
Fernando Gonzalez, Educational Consultant
Hi, my name is Fernando. I’ve been working at a school in Spain for a long time, and I’ve come to Juticalpa to share my experience in education, so I can help in the improvement of the Olancho Aid Foundation’s schools.
Mai Tran, Elementary School Tutor
Hello, my name is Mai. I am from California. I went to the University of California at Santa Cruz for my Bachelors’s in Environmental Studies, and to Loyola Marymount University for my Masters in Education. I previously worked as an elementary teacher. In my spare time, I like to be outdoors, to go hiking, and to go to the beach. Also, I love trying new kinds of food. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the Honduran community in Juticalpa and immerse myself in the culture.
