We’re looking for volunteers!
In additional to the traditional volunteer program, this year Olancho Aid is seeking experienced volunteers who are experts in their field to serve as mentors and administrators at the Foundation. Our most pressing needs are for an early education specialist, a human resource specialist, and a mission team assistant.
The early education specialist will provide support to preschool and kindergarten teachers by providing feedback and strategies to improve the early education program, and will assist in lesson planning, delivering lessons, evaluating student performance, and participating in school-wide activities.
The human resource specialist will provide support to the Director of Human Talent. Duties may include mentoring HR staff, developing, evaluating, editing, or translating job descriptions and HR policies.
The mission team assistant will provide support to the mission team program at the Volunteer House, in the field, and with minor administrative duties. Duties may include interpreting English and Spanish, frequent travel to the capital city of Honduras as well as remote communities of Olancho, and acting as an ambassador for both mission teams and the communities they serve.
These volunteers should have extensive, relevant experience related to the positions listed above, have the ability to serve for a minimum of six weeks, be willing to live with basic accommodations, and be willing to participate in Catholic retreats and masses.
